To spend or not to spend...

I have never thought of myself as a big spender until now...

Just yesterday, I spent over FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS!!!!!!!
I bought a cell phone. I think this might be the first electronic device I have ever bought without the consultation of a family member. It cost $2800. But the man selling it was really nice and knocked off $50. I also bought a cute little trinket to go on it. It was only $90. The other thing I bought was a MP3 player. It has a 1 GB storage capacity. I spent $1800 on it. After my friends and I made our purchases, we chose to take a taxi back to the school where we are staying instead of walking for about 30 minutes. It only cost us about $25 each.

Here are some pictures of what I bought.

The Cell Phone...

Isn't the trinket cute :o)

The MP3 Player...

Now, some of you are probably thinking I made this all up and these things didn't really cost that much. Well, you are wrong. These items really did cost that much, and I really did buy them.

The catch? The prices are all in NT. The National Taiwanese Dollar. It takes about 35 NT to make 1 US.

Therefore, in US Dollars, I spent a total of $134.47. Not nearly so bad.
:o)

Well you almost got me. but then I thought... " This is jane who wouldn't but a "trinket" for a doller much less an MP3 Player for 1800, there is no way she payed 4000 dollers for anything.

I was wondering where you got all your money! That was my only hang up. But I'm glad you got some new gadgets!
