Saturday, I went to a wedding with Mother and Daddy. It was one of those weddings where I didn't have a clue who anybody was. The groom was the son of some friends of Mother and Daddy when they first got married. At the receiving line, he said "Oh, you're Mr. and Mrs. T_____! With M___ and J___ and the six others!" It was lots of fun. Daddy would tell me a story of way back when, then mother would later tell me the same story, and then if I was lucky, I might hear the story again from one of their friends.
On the way home, we found out that ODC was going to go watch some fireworks that night. Our home owners association had spent boocoodles of money on fireworks and were going to shoot them off our dam. We would have prime seats right in our back yard. So, we called them up and asked if they would like to come over instead. They said yes. We got home, Daddy went to the store and got some ice and chicken wings. I went out and cleaned off the diving dock that is about 100 ft. from the shore (We have Canaidan Geese who like to make it their home). They arrived, and we had a marvoulus time together. Many of us launched our paddle boats and the canoe and watched the fireworks from the water. After it was all over, we cleaned up, and said good-bye. It was a great way to celebrate Independence Day!
