Shooting for the Moon
A wise person once said, "It is better to shoot for the moon and only make it to the top of the lamp post, than to shoot for the lamp post and never make it off the ground."
I am not exactly sure what this post is going to be about. I am not sure what the relevancy of the above quote is to the rest of the post. All I know, is that I need to write about something besides the trips I go on. After all, life is an adventure, right? So, each day should have something exciting in it.
So, what did I do today? I went to school. I taught songs in four classes. I ate lunch. I came back to the dorm. I did some stuff on my computer. I changed the strings on my violin and played it some. I replaced a string that had broken on my guitar and played that some. I was social with my team. I kinda skipped an official supper. I did more of a snacking throughout the afternoon. I then came back to my room and started blogging. Then Lauren came and said she was going to 7/11 and wanted to know if I would join her. I said yes. I went to 7/11 with Lauren, bought a phone card, and came back. I then continued blogging.
So, that was my day today. Nothing particularly exciting. Pretty normal.
I do have a roommate this week. Dominique's Dad and sister are visiting her this week. So, the sister is staying in my room. She is nice and it has been fun having another roommate besides my pet spider.
Several members of my family and I are in a race/competition with each other to see who can come the closest to loosing a certain amount of weight between now and the time I come home. I think I definitely shot for the moon on this one. But I wonder whether I will even make it to the top of the light pole. Right now, I am just hoping to get my head above the bush.
Well, I guess that is about it. I even managed to tie in the title. :o)
